St. Brigid's Pledges to join Book Week NI
About Book Week NI
Book Week NI is a joint initiative arising from the partnership between BBC Northern Ireland and Libraries NI and the event is now going into its fourth year.
The focus this year is on inspiring people of all ages to discover or rediscover the joy of reading by pledging to read for 15 minutes during and preferably throughout the week.
To encourage this there will be a different theme each day with suggestions of books, eBooks and eMagazines to read. Also, themed events and displays will take place in libraries across Northern Ireland and the BBC’s programming will link to Book Week NI across its air waves.
Children can take part by reading for 15 minutes each day and tag our twitter page with a photo and a comment relating to, for example:
- #During BookWeekNI my ReadFor15 is ……
- #BookweekNI – the book that changed me was ………….
- #BookweekNI – my favourite children’s book is……
