September in Primary 2
The Primary 2 children have settled back into school life very well and have been having lots of fun in class. During September we have been busy learning lots of new things in Literacy, such as labelling, writing captions and writing lists. In Numeracy, we have focused on revising the Numbers to 10 and have even started to explore Numbers to 20 and addition. We have also started to learn more about 3D shape and the children were able to create super 3D models together. Our WAU topic this month has been ‘All About Me’ and the children have been sharing and thinking about what makes them special. We have discussed how we are similar and different, and what makes everyone unique. We had great fun looking at and discussing the children’s baby photos that were sent to us through Seesaw. In our Religion lessons we have also been exploring and developing our appreciation of the natural world. We have listened to The Creation Story and have shared our favourite part of Creation.
The children have also engaged wonderfully with our online platforms such as Seesaw and Mathletics. A big thank you to parents/carers for your continued support at home.
Don’t forget to check out our photos from our Senses walk to Glassdrummond Wood earlier this month in the photo album ‘P.2 Senses Hunt’.
