What a fabulous morning our P7s had with Una, Maggie and Kathleen in An Tobár and Brian’s Wood. We heard about the history of our local area including our townlands, the history of famine in our local area including the demise of ‘Hannah’, the famine ship which also hit an iceberg! We learned about the legend of Cuchulainn and his association with Co. Louth. We learned about the importance of developing ecosystems and making attempts to combat climate change. We did our bit by planting an apple tree 🌳. A great educational morning in our beautiful surroundings.
