Gap of the North - The Oral Tradition of Oriel- Poetry Project

Our P7s had a great morning with Rosemary Tumilty, with the support of Arts Council of Northern Ireland. They talked about the famous poets from Creggan- all buried in Creggan and Urnaí graveyard. We are so lucky to live in an area rich in poetry! The P7s then created their own poems in haiku form. They can’t wait to help Rosemary and the team from Northern Ireland Screen to create a film which will showcase all their poems!
