Gaelic Tournament
A tense day today at St. Brigid’s as the play offs started for our Gaelic Tournament. With some children off school, the team captains had to operate a ‘borrowing’ strategy, taking players from other teams to make up numbers. Some captains were very strategic in this!!! First up was Kerry vTipperary with Kerry defeating Tipperary. The next match wasTyrone v Mayo with the Ulster team performing a skilful defeat against Mayo. The match with Galway and Dublin competing was a fierce battle with Galway being the stronger team on the day. The Orchard county beat Donegal in the final match of the day. Antrim has a bye into the next round which takes place on Monday 24th (weather permitting).
